I first met James at an education conference. Although our meeting was only 15 minutes, he provided on-point advice that still guides the company direction today. James is a patient listener, asks thoughtful questions, and challenges claims and assumptions in a respectful manner. Since that first meeting, I've interacted with James mostly through email, and he responds much quicker than I would've expected, him being an investor and all. Recently, I bumped into James at a virtual conference, and he remembered everything about my company. He receives my monthly company updates, and I suppose he actually reads them. We chatted a little bit, and he agreed to take another meeting with me to share updates on the company. All this to say that my interactions with James have all been highly positive, and it's clear he both values the time of founders and has the traits you would hope for in an investment partner: patient; willing and able to help; and responsive.
We believe that there are always two sides to every story and accountability goes both ways, so we want to allow for investors to respond to their own reviews. Please navigate to the link below to leave a reply.
